Chief Financial Officer

Mr Dyker is a Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years’ experience in senior finance roles within the mining industry. For the last 15 years, Mr Dyker has held the position of Chief Financial Officer for several mid-tier ASX listed mining companies, which include Sirius Resources, Doray Minerals, Avoca Resources and Aztec Resources. His experience includes the arrangement of project funding for the development of these mines and the establishment and management of financial systems during their construction and operation.

Mr Dyker is a qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and is a Fellow member of the Taxation Institute of Australia.


JAMES HOWARD

JAMES HOWARD

Project Manager

Mr Howard is a mining engineer and holds a West Australian First Class Mine Manager’s certificate.  Prior to joining Dacian Gold, he was responsible for the construction of Atlas Iron’s 3Mtpa greenfields Abydos iron ore project in the Pilbara of WA.  During the period 2007-2012, Mr Howard worked for Avoca Resources Ltd, initially as mining manager at Avoca’s 1 Mtpa underground Trident Gold Mine, and then as Project Manager responsible for constructing the Chalice Underground Gold Mine.  He has held several senior operating roles at gold, nickel and copper-gold underground mines throughout WA and SA.


CHRIS NEWMAN

CHRIS NEWMAN

Geology Manager
BSc (Hons), FAusIMM, MAIG

Mr. Newman is a geologist with over 25 years’ global experience in mining and exploration. He is credited with Avoca's Trident Gold Discovery in Western Australia in 2004. He was also instrumental in unlocking the mineral potential of the Meliadine Gold Project in Northern Canada and has had significant additional exploration successes at Çöpler in Central Turkey and at both St Ives and Boddington in Western Australia.

Prior to Dacian, Mr. Newman held roles as Executive Vice President / Chief Geological Officer for Alacer Gold and Geology Manager for Avoca Resources, Mungana Goldmines/Atherton Resources and Carbine Resources.


CHRIS OORSCHOT

CHRISTOPHER OORSCHOT

Exploration Manager
B.Sc (Hons), MAusIMM, MSEG

Mr Oorschot is a geologist with 10 years’ experience in Australia having participated in both mining and exploration with a focus on Western Australian gold deposits. Mr Oorschot has held a number of leadership roles since commencing with Dacian Gold in November 2012. During his tenure at Dacian Gold, Mr Oorschot has played a key role in taking the plus 1Moz Westralia and Jupiter discoveries through feasibility, project development and mining. Mr Oorschot is a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and the Society of Economic Geologists.


BRETT HARTMANN

BRETT HARTMANN

General Manager – Mt Morgans Gold Operation

Mr Hartmann is a qualified mining engineer with 20 years’ industry experience having commenced his career in large-scale base metal mines in New South Wales and Queensland. In 2001, he moved to Western Australia where he worked in a number of nickel mines in Kambalda and Widgiemooltha where he became Registered Manager; as well as gold mines in the Norseman district.
In 2010, Mr Hartmann accepted a Group Operations Manager role, providing technical expertise and leadership for a number of operating mines in both base and precious metals across Australia.

Prior to joining Dacian Gold in May 2017, Mr Hartmann was the General Manager of the world-class Nova Nickel Mine located in the Fraser Range, east of Norseman.


PHIL RUSSO

Investor Relations
B. Applied Science, M.B.A. (Mineral & Energy Economics)

Mr Russo has 15 years of international mining and investment experience. Prior to joining Dacian Gold, Mr Russo was a Mining & Metals Analyst at a US Investment Bank in Toronto for 6 years where he was a ranked analyst and a top stock picker award winner, as well as a period at a Perth-based stockbroker servicing North American investment institutions.

Prior to entering Capital Markets, Mr Russo worked as a Project Engineer with Barrick Gold Corporation in both Perth and Toronto, where his primary responsibilities included supporting the company's pipeline of feasibility and development stage projects globally.

Mr Russo has numerous relationships across North American, European and Australian generalists, hedge and natural resource funds. Mr Russo has a B. Applied Science and an M.B.A. (Mineral & Energy Economics) from Curtin University.
